Gabriella Stevenson likes the finer things in life. So much that she's prepared to kill for them.

A succession of rich husbands has ensured she's never wanted for anything, but there are some itches that just can't be scratched.

When she comes to realise that her current husband has reached the end of his usefulness there's only one thing for it…

But plotting your husband's murder isn't quite as straightforward as you think...

A classic short story of a woman falling in love with money and being prepared todo just about anything to succeed. An early lesson learnt is that a widow makes more when a marriage ends than a divorcee. When she tires of husband she has just the an MO to conceive to ensure his death would not look suspicious or a murder where the sole suspect is herself. She spends her days planning how she will spend the money and failing to notice what is going on in her life and around her home. Her heart is as dark as any Black Widow but who can stop her knocking off another rich husband.A story beset by ironies and a morbid sense of humour with an ending difficult to anticipate.I loved that the character of the huntress is the only one we learn about; you feel little warmth towards her and you wonder how her plans will become unstuck. However, what we learn of the other players towards the end we can feel no sympathy and almost applaud the thought of getting away with murder.

My favourite author, which I would highly recommend his books. They are an excellent read right from the start of the first page to the last page of the book that will keep you totally enthralled.

Another good story from Adam, knew there would be a twist but didn’t know what form it would take until the very end! Great

Another gripping read. A great short story that leaves you wanting more even though the story is nicely wrapped up.
