With the storm cutting off the only road in or out, the killer must still be on the peninsula. As Caroline and her team delve deeper into the victim's last hours, they uncover a web of romantic entanglements, hidden motives, and a mysterious newcomer.

But when the road reopens and a second body is found, the stakes are raised, and the investigation takes a deadly turn. Can Caroline untangle the truth before the killer strikes again?

Whole Rutland series.

I have now read all six books in the series. I am really hoping there are more to come. If there is not, I will pick another series. Brilliant writer.

No WaY Out

I have all of Rutland Crime Series Books except What Lies Beneath and have enjoyed them all.

I would like query on page 125 Dexter took the cricket bat and Elijah return it to its bag. yet on page 130 Elijah attacker took the bag from Elijah's shoulder and hit him with it etc. and discarded it nearby. Later Elijah's blood was found on the handle.

To me me this appears that the attacker took the bat from the bag. I ask did he time time to do this?

When is the next book due to come out.

Do you have a telephone number and/or an email address that you can be contacted on?
